Traffic restrictions will be in effect around the Queen’s Park Oval during several Caribbean Premier League T20 matches next week.
Under an order issued by the Commissioner of Police, parking will be prohibited along sections of Tragarete Road, St Clair Avenue and Sweet Briar Road.
Motorists will also be prohibited from driving or parking along Elizabeth Street, between St Clair Avenue and Tragarete Road; Sweet Briar Road, between Elizabeth Street and Alexandra Street; and Havelock Street, between Tragarete Road and St Clair Avenue.
The restrictions will apply at various times between August 26th and September 3rd:
From 4.00 p.m. on Wednesday 26th August, 2026, to 1.00 a.m. on Thursday 27th August, 2026;
From 5.00 p.m. on Friday 28th August, 2026, to 2.00 a.m. on Saturday 29th August, 2026;
From 4.00 p.m. on Saturday 29th August, 2026, to 1.00 a.m. on Sunday 30th August, 2026;
From 2.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. on Monday 31st August, 2026; and
From 4.00 p.m. on Wednesday 2nd September, 2026, to 1.00 a.m. on Thursday 3rd September, 2026.
Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and follow the instructions of police officers in the area.
