The newly appointed Board of Directors of the National Maintenance Training and Security Company Limited (MTS) received their letters of appointment on Monday 9th June 2025, at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Public Utilities Head Office in St. Clair, Port of Spain.
Mr. Adrian Barran, who has been appointed Chairman of the Board, is a seasoned leader in health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE), with over 17 years of experience across the oil and gas, petrochemical, aviation, health, and regulatory sectors.

In his address to the newly appointed Directors, Minister of Public Utilities, Barry Padarath, thanked them for their willingness to serve the people of Trinidad and Tobago, and encouraged them to carry out their mandate with the highest level of professionalism. He also underscored the critical role played by MTS in the security and maintenance of public buildings, highlighting that the renovation and construction of schools nationwide is a key component of the company’s mandate.
Also in attendance at the ceremony were the Minister in the Ministry of Public Utilities, Clyde Elder, and Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Public Utilities, Ms. Shivanna Sam.
