The MV Blue Wave Harmony, the passenger and cargo boat which replaces the Cabo Star on the sea bridge, arrived at the Port of Port of Spain today, Thursday.
The Blue Wave Harmony has increased cargo capacity, enhanced refrigerated storage, and improved passenger accommodations, including cabins and onboard amenities.
The vessel is also expected to improve operational reliability, with upgraded systems and built-in redundancies designed to reduce mechanical downtime.
The lease for the Cabo Star expired on January 12th. In the interim, the Galleon’s Passage and the T&T Spirit are supporting cargo operations.
The Blue Wave Harmony is expected to enter service pending final regulatory clearances and sea and port trials.
