New Initiative Aimed At Boosting Computer Literacy Launched In Tobago

A three-year initiative aimed at boosting computer literacy across Tobago has been launched, targeting 10,000 individuals.

Chief Executive Officer of Bismarck Technology and Learning Institution Limited, Carol Sarwansingh-Jadoonanan, presented the sponsorship in partnership with Natasha Second, founder of International Advocacy Against Child Abuse.

The initiative was unveiled at the 2026 conference held at the Beverly Oasis Suites in Tobago, under the theme “Restoration: Strengthening Communities, Building Hope.”

The programme is designed to empower participants by breaking barriers and promoting financial independence through digital skills training.

Ms. Sarwansingh-Jadoonanan says the goal is to build a better future, noting that an educated boy or girl can become a self-reliant individual who contributes meaningfully to the economy.

She adds that the company is committed to giving back by providing equal access to education, mentorship, and resources for the next generation of women and men.
