The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service’s Tobago Division will see new leadership. After being led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Collis Hazel and Senior Superintendent Rodhill Kirk for several months, the decision has been made to remove both senior officers.
TTT News was informed that they are being replaced by Acting ACP Oswain Subero and Acting Senior Superintendent Earl Elie. ACP Hazel has been relocated to the Tactical Unit while Superintendent Kirk to the Southern Division.
Commenting on the reshuffling of officers in the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service’s Tobago Division, Chief Secretary Farley Augustine said he was aware of the plans. He stated during a National Council meeting in July the decision was taken in order to eliminate complacency and in Tobago’s case specifically, to eradicate the contempt bred by familiarity.
He thanked Mr. Hazel and Mr. Kirk for their tireless efforts in the fight against crime in Tobago adding that Mr. Hazel’s new posting as head of the TTPS’ tactical unit will place him as head of Inter-Agency Task Force and Guard and Emergency Branch. This Mr Augustine said means he will continue to have a crucial role to play in Tobago’s war against crime.
He also wished ACP Subero and Senior Superintendent Elie greater success in Tobago’s ongoing battle with criminals.
