The safety, dignity and future of Trinidad and Tobago are in your hands.
This charge of responsibility was laid by Minister of Homeland Security Roger Alexander to the newest batch of police officers today at their passing-out ceremony.
Minister Alexander told the officers that they now take their place among men and women who stand between order and chaos, hope and fear, and safety and danger. He said they now have a major duty to the nation.
“Your uniform is not just fabric, they are a declaration, a declaration that you understand a simple truth: the beauty of your nation depends on you, from the coral reef of Tobago to the rhythms of Port of Spain, from the steelpan yard to the quiet villages, where people still cook, wash, and care about their neighbours.”
