New UDeCOTT Board Of Directors Appointed

Attorney-at-Law Shankar Bidaisee is the new Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (UDeCOTT).

The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, via a media release, announced that Instruments of Appointment were formally presented to the new Board members at a ceremony on Monday.

The Board’s Deputy Chairman is Peter Kanhai, while the Directors are Dr. Robelto Osborne, Hema Soondarsingh, Omkarnath Supersad-Maharaj, and Indira Bansee.

Minister of Works and Infrastructure, Jearlean John, told the appointees: “‘UDeCOTT is poised to play a pivotal role in the country’s infrastructural development and can be a powerful force for transformation as Trinidad and Tobago pivots toward economic diversification.”

Chairman Shankar Bidaisee underscored three core principles to guide the Board’s work: compliance with procurement regulations, adherence to project timelines, and delivery within budget.
