Pembroke’s Leighanne Charles Crowned Miss Tobago Heritage Personality 2022

The village known for the Salaka Feast, Pembroke, is beaming with pride after their representative was crowned Miss Tobago Heritage Personality 2022 on Saturday.

Seven personalities representing various communities vied for this year’s crown.

Pembroke’s Leighanne Charles wowed the crowd with her talent piece, which highlighted various women in the community including her late grandmother. The audience was later captivated by her gown portrayal. After an over two-hour long competition, Miss Pembroke was declared the winner. Second place went to Goodwood Police Youth Club’s Rebecca Bobb, and third place Sisters in Culture’s Shamika Denoon.

Best talent, gown portrayal, and Miss Intelligence was also won by Pembroke’s Personality.

Buccoo’s Ayesha Nichols won the “My Village Project” Award, and Kekoa Butcher, representing Mt. St. George Police Youth Club, won Ms. Photogenic and Ms. Amity. Sharon Phillips received the Best Designer Award.
