Personal Care Hampers For Women’s Prison

On Tuesday, September 14th, 2021, the Inner Wheel Club of Trinidad and Tobago distributed 120 personal care hampers to the inmates housed in the Women Prison.

The Inner Wheel Club of Trinidad and Tobago is a charitable organisation in existence for over thirty years, which has played an important role in supporting the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service over the years. One of its major projects was the establishment of the library at the Youth Training Centre.

Present at the distribution ceremony were Commissioner of Prions, Mr. Dennis Pulchan, Deputy Commissioner of Prisons, Mr. Sherwin Bruce, Superintendent of Prisons, Mr. Noel Serrette, Assistant Superintendent of Prisons, Mr. Dennis Lorde, President of the Inner Wheel Club, Ms. Santi Jadoo, Imam Imtiaz Ali and other representatives of the charitable organisation.

Commissioner Pulchan expressed his gratitude towards the noble gesture and thanked them for their support, especially for the women. Mr. Sherwin Bruce in his closing remarks emphasised the importance of community support and relations toward creating better and reformed citizens. He reiterated the organisation’s gratitude and expressed high optimism that collaborated efforts will continue, as we strive to uphold the Service’s mandate.
