PM Confirms Blue Wave Harmony Continues Service On Sea Bridge

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, SC, has confirmed that the Blue Wave Harmony continues to service the sea bridge and was engaged in loading cargo on Friday afternoon for a scheduled sailing to Tobago.

Responding to a question during Friday’s sitting of the House of Representatives, the Prime Minister noted that five vessels currently service the sea bridge.

“Let us be reminded there are five boats servicing this sea bridge. Five: Blue Wave, Spirit, Buccoo, APT James and the Galleons Passage. And I’m advised by the Honourable Minister that these four, apart from the Blue Wave, that they are going with about 50% passenger capacity and about 70% cargo occupancy and the Blue Wave, Minister has advised, in fact, is currently loading for a 2pm departure from Port of Spain. So all can carry cargo, but the cargo is not stocked up and stockpiled at the Port because these four others have been servicing the sea bridge and the Blue Wave, as I say, Minister has advised, is currently loading to go to Tobago.”
