PM Persad-Bissessar Returns Home After Key CARICOM Talks

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar SC has returned to Trinidad and Tobago after attending the 51st Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM in St Lucia, where regional leaders gathered to discuss matters critical to the advancement and development of the Caribbean Community.

With her return, Prime Minister Persad-Bissessar resumes her official duties as the Government continues its commitment to delivering on its promises and advancing initiatives that improve the lives of the people of Trinidad and Tobago.

The Prime Minister also expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the Minister of Works and Infrastructure, Jearlean John, for her dedicated service and steady leadership while acting as Prime Minister during her absence. Mrs. Persad-Bissessar commended Minister John for ensuring the continuity of government operations and providing strong stewardship during the period.

As the administration moves forward, the Government remains focused on serving the nation and addressing the priorities of citizens across Trinidad and Tobago.
