Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has been named the 2025 People’s Choice winner at the Caribbean Global Awards, topping a field of 58 regional leaders in a public vote.
Prime Minister Persad-Bissessar secured 3,850 votes, the highest overall, surpassing high-profile nominees including St. Vincent’s Ralph Gonsalves, Barbados’ Mia Mottley, Guyana’s Irfaan Ali, and Jamaica’s Andrew Holness.
The voting process was entirely public, and the results were audited and validated by a 15-member panel of independent judges and observers from across the region and beyond.
The Caribbean Global Awards ceremony is set to take place in London on September 27th.
