A Siparia couple has appeared in court charged with the murder of Uagnan Ramjit.
62 year old David Anthony and 58 year old Latchmin Anthony of Sipiaria Old Road were jointly charged with the offence when they appeared before Master Shabaana Shah, in the South Court ‘B’ on Wednesday.
The victim was reported missing on May 11th 2025 and his remains were discovered on May 13th 2025, in the Fyzabad district.
The couple was arrested following extensive investigations into Ramjit’s disappearance, by officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region Three, the Anti-Kidnapping Unit and personnel of the South Western Division.
The matter was adjourned to April 20th, 2026.
