A swift police response led to the recovery of a stolen vehicle in the Maraval district earlier yesterday.
On Wednesday 12th November, 2025, around 6:20am, a 24-year-old man of La Platte Village, Maraval, reported to the Maraval Police Station that his silver Toyota Aqua motor vehicle, had been stolen. The victim told police that he parked and secured the vehicle in his driveway around 8:20pm on Tuesday 11th November, 2025, and discovered it missing around 6am the following morning. The vehicle is valued at $50,000.
Based on information received from the Command Centre, officers on mobile patrol proceeded to the Saddle Hill, Maraval area, where they recovered the stolen vehicle around 9am. The vehicle was found stationary along the left side of the roadway near a fruit mart. Upon inspection, officers observed that the vehicle’s hybrid battery, valued at $8,000, was missing, and the right rear quarter glass was damaged.
The vehicle was removed from the scene and conveyed to the Maraval Police Station for safekeeping. It was processed by officers of the Western Division Crime Scene Unit, however, no workable fingerprints were obtained.
Enquiries are continuing into the incident by PC Burnett.
