Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar leaves today to head to New York for the United Nations General Assembly.
Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Sean Sobers, along with Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry, Nicholas Morris, led the national delegation to the opening of the General Debate earlier this week.
Mrs. Persad-Bissessar will be accompanied by Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Barry Padarath, along with Minister of Legal Affairs, Saddam Hosein.
The Prime Minister is expected to address the UN General Assembly on Friday afternoon.
Minister of Works and Infrastructure, Jearlean John, will take up the mantle as Acting Prime Minister until Mrs. Persad-Bissessar returns.
