Prime Minister Set To Attend CARICOM Heads of Government Meeting

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar is set to attend the 51st Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM, which begins on Sunday in Saint Lucia.

The opening ceremony will take place at Sandals Saint Lucia on July 5th at 4 pm, and will feature remarks from outgoing CARICOM Chair, Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Terrance Drew.

The meeting is being held under the chairmanship of Saint Lucia’s Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre, who assumed the role of CARICOM Chair on July 1st.

From July 6th to the 8th, regional leaders will engage in business sessions and discussions on key issues affecting the Caribbean Community, as they work to advance the Region’s priorities and development agenda.
