The Public Transport And Service Corporation has increased its fares for Carnival Monday and Tuesday along several of its routes.
A social media post from the PTSC indicates that the temporary fare increase will affect the ECS service from Port of Spain to San Fernando, the service from Port of Spain to Arima, as well as the Port of Spain to Chaguanas route.
The routes which will cost $10 over the two days are the Sangre Grande to Port of Spain, the San Fernando to Erin, and the San Fernando to Port of Spain ECS service.
The post indicated that there are six routes which are not affected by the increased fares. They are Sangre Grande to Arima, Sangre Grande to Guayaguayare and Mayaro, Sangre Grande to Toco, Point Fortin to Icacos, Chaguanas to Rio Claro, and Port of Spain to Blanchisseuse.
All other routes will see higher fares for their Carnival commute.
