Randall Mitchell Concedes

Former Senator and Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Randall Mitchell, has conceded defeat in the La Brea constituency.

In acknowledging the results of the 2025 General Election, Mr. Mitchell said although it is not the outcome he had hoped for, the people have spoken, and he respects their voice.

The former Minister noted that while service to Trinidad and Tobago has been one of the greatest honours of his life, the election campaign was about sharing a vision of possibility for the community of La Brea.

The Oilfield Workers’ Trade Union, as part of the United National Congress Coalition of Interest, contested the Point Fortin and La Brea constituencies.

The OWTU’s Vice President, Ernesto Kesar, is the Member of Parliament-Elect for Point Fortin, while former Communications Workers’ Union Secretary General Clyde Elder is the Member of Parliament-Elect for La Brea.
