Royal Challengers Bengaluru Dominate Delhi In One-Sided IPL Clash

Virat Kohli today became the first batter in history to score 9,000 IPL runs and he did it by helping Royal Challengers Bengaluru crush Delhi Capitals by nine wickets.

It was a demolition job from the very first over.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar yorked IPL debutant Sahil Parakh for a two-ball duck, and Josh Hazlewood followed up by sending KL Rahul and Sameer Rizvi back in the very next over, both caught behind without scoring. Delhi were 8 for 6 inside three overs.

Their powerplay score of just 13 runs, the lowest ever in a full IPL game. Abhishek Porel top-scored with 30 off 33 balls to drag Delhi to 75, but it was never going to be enough.

RCB knocked off the target in 13 overs and Kohli made sure the night belonged to him.
