There are still no answers in the mysterious disappearance of a La Romaine couple, as search and rescue efforts intensify on land and at sea.
Forty-four-year-old Samuel Montano and 36-year-old Zaheeda Mohammed were reported missing in the La Romaine area over the weekend after a relative found a trail of blood leading from their home to the beach.
On Monday, officers discovered a blood-stained sheet on the bed and several spent shells on the floor of the home.
Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard divers combed nearby waters, while drones and cadaver dogs searched the area. So far, no leads have emerged.
Investigators believe the couple may have been forcibly removed from their home and taken away.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to call 800-TIPS or contact the nearest police station.
