Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Phillip Watts highlighted the Ministry’s plan to maximise revenue generation through the hosting of regional and international tournaments during the Standing Finance Committee on Tuesday.
“There’s also an economic opportunity in sport. Hosting regional and international events can support local business, create employment opportunities and strengthen Trinidad and Tobago’s standing as a sporting destination. My focus is on pursuing those opportunities while remaining clear about the benefits we expect to achieve and the resources required.”
