A St. James man was arrested over the weekend after police found what they believe to be MDMA, commonly known as “Molly”, in his BMW during a roadblock.
The incident happened on Saturday as police assigned to the Western Division Task Force conducted intelligence-led operations in the St. James district between 6pm and 11pm.
During the exercise, officers searched a blue BMW and discovered a quantity of the suspected drug.
The driver, a 31-year-old man, was arrested in connection with the find.
Further inquiries led officers to a nearby residence where an additional quantity of the drug was discovered and seized.
The combined quantity weighed approximately 30.97 grammes.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of drug possession as investigations continue.
