Small steel orchestras from the Eastern Region performed their 2026 arrangements at “panyard judging” events for the National Panorama Preliminaries on Friday.
TTT News was present to capture the performances of three orchestras from Morvant, San Juan, and Curepe.
Under a moonlit sky, members of Sound of Music, Second Street All Stars, and Northolus Steel Orchestras performed for panels of judges on Friday.
And the sound of music continued through the night as a grateful crowd roved from Coconut Drive Park in Morvant to Abattoir Car Park in San Juan, and finally to Moods Panyard in Curepe.
Many danced, some even playing with invisible sticks, as these three small orchestras put on a mighty show for the Small Conventional Bands Preliminaries.
Judging continues in the Eastern Region from 7 pm on Saturday.
