Stollmeyer’s Castle Hosts Symbolic Ceremony For Newly Appointed Marriage Officers

Registrar General Karen Bridgewater wore the hat of an officiating officer at a very special wedding in Stollmeyer’s Castle on Monday.

The wedding took place at the conclusion of a Ministry of Land and Legal Affairs ceremony, during which 36 newly appointed marriage officers received their licences—a move the government described as a significant step toward clearing a years-long administrative backlog.

Registrar General Bridgewater said the couple was lucky to have such an auspicious venue as a backdrop for their nuptials.

The couple had their first dance to the sounds of Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” performed by violinist Sachin Boodram.

An experience usually reserved for the few and it was a most memorable moment for the couple.
