Suspect Arrested In Tobago Woman’s Murder

Police have apprehended a suspect in connection with the murder of 39-year-old Neisha Roberts of Mt St George, Tobago.

Acting on information, police arrested the suspect at the Port of Spain Ferry Terminal just after he disembarked from the inter-island ferry.

Ms Roberts was found dead at her #1 Village Street home on Wednesday morning, with multiple stab wounds to her body.

Initial reports suggest that the killing may have stemmed from a domestic dispute.

Relatives and neighbours told reporters that she had recently ended a relationship and believe the incident may be connected to her former partner.

She was employed with the National Maintenance, Training and Security Company Limited (MTS) and also served as a deaconess at the Mt St George Seventh-day Adventist Church.
