Bernadette ‘Pinky’ Allum is the 2024 Icon of the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association’s Tobago District.
During the Tobago Teachers Get Together Awards Function, Ms. Allum, who spent over five decades as an educator, was honoured. Speaking to attendees after receiving her award, she expressed gratitude for the acknowledgement of what she described were her humble efforts. She urged teachers to master the art of listening.
The teachers were also encouraged to get involved in the TTUTA’s activities and continue the efforts in ensuring the needs of Tobago’s educators are met.
