There will be an increase in the price of eggs at government farms in Tobago from March 2nd, 2026.
This announcement was made by the THA Division of Food Security via a media release on Friday.
The release stated that the price will increase from $7 per dozen to $15 per dozen.
The Division noted that this change in price reflects the significant increase in production costs over the years, including feed and other essential farm inputs, as well as the need to align prices more responsibly with current market conditions.
The release further explained that the price of eggs and other agricultural produce had remained unchanged since 2005, adding that the decision was not taken lightly.
