The Tobago House of Assembly’s Office of the Chief Secretary has been advancing digitisation for the entire Assembly.
During Thursday’s budget debate, Chief Secretary Farley Augustine said the operations of the Executive Council are almost completely digital.
“A firm was engaged that is digitising the records of the THA as we speak, and within three months we will get to the point where all meetings, all the engagements can actually happen electronically and that simple things like Exec Council notes can be submitted, approved, confirmed electronically.”
Mr. Augustine also noted that the entire island of Tobago will be included with the roll-out of their Development Pathway.
“We sat with those twelve principles of the greatest little island on the planet. We consulted with internal clients of the THA and built out the development pathway. The website will be launched towards the end of this month, so that we can now bring in the conversation to the rest of Tobago. We did not get our first Development Plan from the PNM until they were in their second term in office. Tobago is going to get their Development Pathway from us in our first term in office that will cover Tobago for twenty years.”
