The long talked about reshuffle of the Tobago House of Assembly Executive was confirmed on Monday morning.
A press release from the Office of the Chief Secretary informed that Assemblyman Terrance Baynes will now hold the portfolio of Assistant Secretary in the Division of Infrastructure, Quarries, and Urban Development with specific responsibility for URP and Maintenance. He will also be appointed as Deputy Presiding Officer. Assemblyman Joel Sampson will now be assigned as Secretary of Community Development, Youth Development and Sport. These changes will come into effect tomorrow, Tuesday May 14th.
Previously, Assemblyman Baynes held the responsibility of Secretary of Community Development, Youth Development and Sport, while Assemblyman Sampson was Deputy Presiding Officer and Assistant Secretary in the Division of Infrastructure, Quarries, and Urban Development.
Also effective July 1st, a new Secretary for Finance, Trade and the Economy will be announced and installed.
