Three Arrested In Separate Incidents Involving Robbery With Violence And Kidnapping And Motor Vehicle Larceny

A combination of quick response time, strategic coordination and diligent police work has resulted in the arrest of three suspects in connection with separate reports of Robbery with Violence and Kidnapping and Motor Vehicle Larceny, which both occurred yesterday.

In the Southern Division, a female victim reported that she was in her San Fernando home around 11:30am on Thursday 11th September, 2025, when a man armed with a cutlass, entered and demanded money.

The intruder allegedly relieved the victim of two cellular phones and then forced her into her white Toyota Aqua motor vehicle.

They then proceeded to a bank in Gulf View, where he instructed her to withdraw a quantity of cash from the ATM. The victim raised an alarm in the bank and the suspect drove away in her vehicle.

A report was made to the police and a party of officers from the Guard and Emergency South, the Highway Patrol South, the San Fernando and Mon Repos Criminal Investigations Department and San Fernando Police Station coordinated a strategic response and interception of the stolen vehicle in the Victoria Village district.

The operation resulted in the arrest of a 32-year-old Pleasantville man and the recovery of the vehicle and stolen items.

In the second incident, Northern Division Task Force officers conducted an exercise in the Arima district between 12am and 3am, during which they observed a white Nissan AD Wagon speeding along the Eastern Main Road.

The vehicle was intercepted and two male suspects, ages 29 and 28, of St. Joseph and Pinto, respectively, were arrested.

Checks revealed the vehicle had been stolen a short time earlier from the Maturita district.

One of the suspects faces charges of Driving without a Driver’s Permit, Driving without a Copy of Insurance, Dangerous Driving and Motor Vehicle Larceny, while the other faces a charge of Motor Vehicle Larceny.

The exercise was coordinated by W/Snr. Supt. Maynard-Wilson, Supt. McKenzie and ASP Pitt.

Investigations are ongoing into the above matters.
