Three more families are grieving the loss of their loved ones as their lives were taken in separate vehicular accidents.
Reports indicate that on Saturday evening, Isaiah Teelucksingh, driving a Nissan Teana slammed into a wrecker that was parked along the southbound lane of the Solomon Hochoy Highway, just after the Corinth Overpass. The wrecker operator was securing a stalled Nissan Tiida for removal, when the crash occurred. Both the operator and the Tiida driver were injured and taken to hospital for treatment. Isaiah died on the scene.
50 year old coach and cyclist Ronnie Ragoonanan lost his life following a collision with a car. Information noted that the cyclist, a Mc Bean Village resident, was proceeding north on the Southern Main Road, McBean, Couva on his bike, when he overtook a vehicle and crashed into a car that was heading south. He died at hospital.
In another vehicular incident, 78 year old Jimmy Baal lost his life when a parked SUV rolled backwards hitting him. The vehicle, a silver Mitsubishi Pajero, was parked off Forestry Road, Talparo, when the grandfather, who was at the time holding his 3 year old grandson, was standing behind the vehicle and was struck. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The 3 year old was taken to hospital and is being treated.
