Storytelling through fashion. Tobago Fashion Coda 7 promises an immersive experience merging music, art, and food.
According to Executive Producer of Tobago Fashion Coda 7 and President of DG Events, Don Grant, this year’s event will be where ‘Runway Meets Rhythm.’
He said the premium fashion all-inclusive event will be held over the Easter weekend.
“Held at the Magdalena Grand Beach and Golf Resort for the past six occasions, we’ve brought it to the world. It’s fashion, art, music, and entertainment. I must say we’ve been able to merge both islands through fashion.”
For the 2025 edition, Mr. Grant announced the engagement of award-winning storyteller and Creative Director Richard Young to curate Tobago Fashion Coda 7.
“I am here to add whatever flavour I can to what Calvin French has done before me with Don, and to definitely celebrate our uniqueness. I think it is about a unique selling proposition that we are doing Tobago as the housing of this event. I also think it’s going to add to destination marketing for this part of the space. Tobago has a lot of assets, being once repeatedly the ecotourism space in the world.”
Mr. Young shared what patrons can expect: “I really want to promote that. That’s my vocation and my calling, it’s to promote creative excellence, and particularly that coming from the fashion designers. I help them tell their stories because storytelling is my forte as well, so I want to create a story that makes you remember through the music, through the movement, through the smiles, through whatever representation of the moods, the myriad of moods that we represent in the Caribbean, they will all be showcased there.”
Tobago Fashion Coda 7 will be held at the Magdalena Grand Beach and Golf Resort on Fashion Friday, April 18th.
