A Tobago man has died following what is being described as a ‘freak accident’ in Bagatelle #1.
The man has been identified as Dirk John.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred shortly before 6am on Monday, while he was on his way to work.
Initial information suggests that the victim was seated on a concrete wall when he reportedly suffered a seizure, causing him to fall into a nearby drain. He sustained severe injuries, including a broken neck, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations are continuing.
