Secretary of Tourism Tashia Burris and Minister of Trade Satyakama Maharaj recently met to discuss critical matters aimed at boosting Tobago’s tourism sector.
In a release on Thursday, the Division of Tourism said Secretary Burris paid a courtesy call on Wednesday.
The discussion was centred on increased domestic and international airlift, the land licence, revised incentives for the sector, and the restarting of the Standing Committee on Tourism. They also discussed several initiatives aimed at transforming Tobago’s tourism product, boosting visitor arrivals, and strengthening the island’s competitiveness in both regional and international markets.
Minister Maharaj welcomed the proposals, giving his full commitment to several of the key initiatives outlined.
