The Tobago People’s Party is today denying claims from the opposition PNM that they will fire CEPEP and URP workers if given a new mandate at the January 12th polls.
A release from the party states that the claim being spread is nothing more that blatant fake news from the politics of desperation.
It further states that the PNM faces rejection by Tobagonians.
The party notes that it has raised salaries for CEPEP, URP and LEP workers while providing real financial relief for families.
The release also notes that the TPP has enhanced conditions with fair benefits such as paid sick leave and vacation.
The release says these are not empty promises and the THA has already received all releases from the Ministry of Finance to pay CEPEP and URP workers for fiscal year 2026.
