Minister of Planning, Economic Affairs and Development, Senator Kennedy Swaratsingh, hosted the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator for Trinidad and Tobago, Joanna Kazana, and her team for his first UN meeting as Minister.
The Minister reiterated the importance of the relationship between the Government of Trinidad and Tobago and the United Nations, expressing interest in increased partnerships with the UN beyond technical cooperation in the areas of green projects, blue projects, policy framework development, as well as a framework for the transition of petrochemicals into more revenue generating avenues.
Additionally, discussions also focused on greater collaboration with community based initiatives across Trinidad and Tobago.
