The Trinidad and Tobago CARIFTA Aquatics Championship Team departed from Piarco International Airport on Thursday morning for the 39th edition of the championships.
The travelling contingent included 31 athletes along with seven members of the management team, who will meet up with the rest of the squad in Martinique for the event, which takes place at the Lamentin Aquatic Centre over the Easter weekend.
Last year, T&T won a total of 57 medals at the championships hosted at the National Aquatic Centre, finishing third overall behind second-place Jamaica and first-place the Bahamas.
