Trinidad and Tobago cyclists missed out on silverware at the UCI Track World Championships in Santiago, Chile.
Nicholas Paul was in the bronze medal race in the Men’s Sprint Finals on Sunday but was defeated by his opponent, Leigh Hoffman of Australia, in two straight races.
Makaira Wallace was also in action on Sunday, finishing fourth in Heat 2 of the Women’s Keirin, and fifth in Heat Three of the Repechage, which saw her missing out on advancing to the semi-final.
Teniel Campbell lined up in the Women’s Points Race but did not finish the event.
In the Men’s Elimination Race, Akil Campbell finished 16th, having been relegated for riding on the blue band.
