After one draw and one defeat, Trinidad and Tobago captured their first win of the Caribbean Football Union Boys Under-14 Challenge Series.
T&T, who are in Group B of Tier One, secured a dominant 4-1 win over French Guiana on Wednesday.
T&T conceded early when a poor clearance inside the penalty area allowed Keylan Gago to strike from close range.
French Guiana made a defensive mistake of their own when a poor pass found Jair Nanton, who made it 1-1.
T&T took the lead in the 27th minute when a free kick was headed in by Jake Correia.
Just a minute later, French Guiana failed to clear their lines once again as Nanton grabbed his second and T&T’s third.
Zidan Tinto gave T&T more insurance with a second-half goal that saw them run out 4-1 winners.
