After losing their opening match 3-nil at the hands of Barbados in the CAZOVA Under 17 Boys and Girls Championship, Trinidad and Tobago Men’s Volleyball Team rebounded with a 3-1 victory over tournament host Jamaica.
It wasn’t a great start for T&T who surrendered the first set 22-25 to Jamaica. In a gritty performance the Calypso Spikers won three closely fought sets with scores of 25-23, 25-20 and 25-21.
On the women’s side, it was a thrilling four set battle that ultimately saw T&T go down 4-1 at the hands of Barbados.
The result is the first defeat for the T&T women, who won their opening match versus Jamaica.
