The Trinidad and Tobago Men’s Volleyball team began their campaign at the 19th Men’s Pan American Cup in Mexico on a losing note, going down 3-0 against Canada in their Group A match.
The first set was closely contested, with Trinidad and Tobago staying level until Canada pulled away 25-20.
The second set saw Canada dominate with a 25-13 win.
T&T came close to avoiding being swept, but Canada held firm to seal the win with a third set score of 25-19.
Trinidad and Tobago’s Daynte Stewart and Michael Burkett each scored eight points.
