T&T Team Heads To Guadeloupe For Caribbean Unified Basketball Games

Special Olympics Trinidad and Tobago has announced that a three-member team will travel to Guadeloupe to compete in the Caribbean 3×3 Unified Basketball Games, scheduled to take place from November 13th to 16th.

Led by coaches Ronald De Silva and Allison Young, Team T&T will feature players Kenton Francois, Samuel Bonaparte, and Melissa Nanan. The trio will be joined by unified partners Jalila Best and Aadil Ali John.

This year’s competition will include eight teams from across the region, each comprising two Special Olympics athletes and one unified partner in their starting line-up.

Announcing the team, the Chairman of Special Olympics Trinidad and Tobago, David Benjamin, said tournaments like these provide athletes with valuable opportunities to test themselves on a regional stage, offering exposure and experience ahead of future World Games.
