As if to validate his selection as the TTFA’s 2021 Men’s Senior Player of the Year, Saprissa Defender Aubrey David features among some of the best workhorses of the game.
The Football Observatory of the Switzerland-based International Centre for Sports Studies, or CIES, released its 2021 data surrounding high performances of the world’s footballers.
With 5,847 minutes in 67 matches, David sits at number five on the list of the top ten players who’ve played the most minutes in the last calendar year.
David who plies his trade in the Costa Rican Primera Division was behind Miniero’s Junior Alonso, Napoli’s Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Ruben Dias of Man City, and Eder Ferreira of Atletico Goineeaz.
Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger was sixth on the list and Barca’s Frenkie De Yong seventh.
