The Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA) is leading a 37-member delegation representing 26 companies to Miami, Florida, from September 13–18, 2026, as part of its continued efforts to expand international trade, strengthen business connections and create new export opportunities for local companies.
The mission brings together businesses from a diverse range of sectors, including food and beverage, technology and cybersecurity, beauty and cosmetics, household products, fashion and other areas of manufacturing and services. The delegation includes businesses from Trinidad as well as Tobago, showcasing the breadth of products and capabilities available across Trinidad and Tobago.
The mission which is being led by Dr. Mahindra Ramesh Ramdeen, TTMA Chief Executive Officer also features high-level participation from government and academia, including Mrs. Petal-Ann Roberts, Secretary of Finance, Trade and the Economy of the Tobago House of Assembly; and Professor Rose-Marie Belle Antoine, Campus Principal and Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus.
A key feature of the programme is a “Doing Business in Miami” seminar, with participation from key support organisations such as the Consulate General of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, International Trade Consortium, Miami-Dade Beacon Council, and SelectFlorida. Representation will also be made by the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Agency. This session will be followed by B2B meetings connecting local companies with potential buyers, distributors and business partners.
Delegates will also attend the America’s Food & Beverage Show and Conference hosted by the World Trade Centre Miami, with some members exhibiting while others are attending to seek business opportunities and partnerships. TTMA will also be engaged in a PortMiami tour to understand key logistics for exporting into the United States, and visit key retail markets to gain first-hand insight into the South Florida market.
The mission provides an important platform for local businesses to build relationships and better understand the requirements of international markets.
