The Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation (TTPost) is warning the public about a scam involving fake requests for US visa-collection fees.
The corporation says it has received reports of fraudulent calls and messages demanding payment for collecting passports with US visas.
TTPost stresses it does not charge for passport collection, nor for courier or Track Pak services unless officially arranged through authorised channels, and paid for in advance.
Passports with US visas can be collected free of charge at approved TTPost locations in Port of Spain and Tobago, unless delivery was specifically requested and paid for at the time of application.
Customers are urged to remain vigilant, verify any suspicious communication through TTPost’s official channels, and report fraudulent activity to the authorities.
