TTPS Fraud Squad Warns Vendors After Woman Charged In Cheque Fraud Case

The Fraud Squad is reminding business owners and vendors to verify the authenticity of cheques with their bankers before parting with their goods or to consider switching to electronic forms of payment.

This follows the arrest and charging of a Charlieville woman with two counts of ‘Obtaining Goods by False Pretences.’

In a statement, the TTPS said Satie Samaroo was charged with obtaining goods valued at $34,500 and obtaining goods valued at $11,000 when she appeared in the San Fernando High Court on Monday.
