The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has confirmed that eight reports of bomb threats were received through different mediums today, Wednesday August 19th, 2026.
In a statement, the TTPS said the reports concerned the following locations:
- Arima Magistrates’ Court
- Princes Town Magistrates’ Court
- Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court
- Kent House, Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government
- Siparia Magistrates’ Court
- Sangre Grande Magistrates’ Court
- A location in San Fernando
- Valpark Shopping Plaza
The TTPS said it immediately activated the relevant security protocols, heightened its security posture and deployed officers to conduct the necessary checks.
Members of the public are advised to remain calm, avoid any affected areas where police operations are taking place and comply with the directions of law-enforcement personnel.
Investigations into the reports are ongoing and further information will be provided when appropriate.
