The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has successfully recovered kidnapped victims Keeran Latchman and Ryan Singh, following a precision-led intelligence operation conducted in the Valencia district today, Wednesday, July 23rd 2025.
Mr. Latchman and Mr. Singh were abducted on Monday, July 21st 2025, while en route to Valencia to conduct a delivery. Their vehicle was later discovered abandoned in Arouca, prompting immediate law enforcement response and intelligence-gathering efforts.
The TTPS said subsequent information led officers to a location in Valencia, where two individuals were detained in connection with the abduction. Their associates, who were guarding the two men, fled the camp on learning of the detention of their accomplices and the presence of police in the area.
The victims were able to escape and made their way to the Valencia Police Station, where they are currently assisting officers with inquiries. They will be taken for medical attention before being reunited with their families.
This operation was jointly coordinated by Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro, Deputy Commissioner Suzette Martin, and Assistant Commissioner Richard Smith, with supervision by Senior Superintendent Winston Maharaj and Superintendent Anderson Pariman.
Commissioner Guevarro stated, “The swift response and inter-agency coordination underscore our commitment to protecting citizens and dismantling criminal networks. I commend the officers for their disciplined approach and express relief at the safe return of the victims.”
Investigations remain ongoing as the TTPS continues its pursuit of all individuals involved.
