TTPS Unveils Christmas Anti-Crime Strategy Ahead Of Festive Season

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) Gold Commander for Christmas 2025 and Carnival 2026 has previewed the Christmas anti-crime plan.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations, Suzette Martin, chaired a high-level meeting with the Mayor of Port of Spain, Chinua Alleyne, and key stakeholders to address strategies for crime reduction and the maintenance of public order within the Port of Spain district on Friday.

Deputy Commissioner Martin reaffirmed the TTPS’s commitment to working closely with all stakeholders to ensure safety, order, and public confidence throughout the capital city.

The session focused on strengthening collaboration between the Police Service and other stakeholders to ensure a safer, more secure environment for residents, businesses, and visitors during the upcoming Christmas and Carnival periods.

Among the items discussed were requests for increased police patrols and additional vehicles for the Woodbrook district, the boosting of foot patrols in St. Clair, and greater police visibility at taxi stands in Port of Spain, particularly during late hours.
