TTSEC Warns Public About Fraudulent AI Investment Scheme

The Trinidad and Tobago Securities and Exchange Commission (“TTSEC”) is once again alerting the public to a fraudulent online investment scheme operating under the names Stable Rowdex, Stable Capital and Futurix Capital which is promoting an AI-related investment opportunity.

The TTSEC has confirmed that the scheme is distributing AI-generated videos, fabricated newspaper articles, altered images and other falsified promotional content purporting to show endorsements from the Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and other prominent individuals including, Economist Dr. Ronald Ramkissoon and Mr. Wendell Mottley, ORTT.

The TTSEC wishes to emphasise that this scheme is continuously evolving. Its name, branding, and
the individuals being impersonated are frequently changing to avoid detection.

The TTSEC wishes to make it unequivocally clear that:

  • These endorsements are entirely false;
  • No such investment product or the Scheme have been endorsed by the Prime Minister or
    any other named public official or individual referenced in the promotional materials; and
  • The materials being circulated are fraudulent and intended to deceive the public.
    Entity Not Registered

The TTSEC further advises that Stable Rowdex, Stable Capital or Futurix Capital are not registered with the TTSEC to offer securities or investment-related products to the public of Trinidad and Tobago.

Members of the public are advised to exercise extreme caution when encountering any solicitation, advertisement or online communication related to the named Scheme or any investment opportunity
that:

  • Promises unusually high returns or guaranteed returns;
  • Uses AI-generated videos or images impersonating public officials;
  • References endorsements by the Prime Minister or other prominent individuals; or originates from obscure, anonymous or unverified digital sources.

  • Verify that the entity and its promoters are registered with the TTSEC;
